The Zoo Walback is only about 3 km from town centre. The small zoo is situated in the idyllic former castle park. The board of trustees Tierpark Walbeck e.V. made it it`s job to maintain and upgrade the traditional zoo. Today the zoo accommodates more than 30 animal species, most of all are domestic animals, indigenous quarry, rodents and several birds. |
