| Mining Monument At The Marketplace |

The monument was revealed in 1950 on the occasion of the 750-years celebration of the Mansfelder mining. The monument was created by the sculptors Richard Horn and Otto Leibe. The pictures symbolise the copper-mining and the smelting in the Mansfelder Land. The side that is turned towards the town hall displays the mine worker Nappian and Neuke, who detected the copper on the Kupferberg around 1200 |
