The St.-Gangolf church ist the oldest church in Hettstedt and is situated on the Kupferberg in the east of the Wipper. This is were the copper mining started around 1200. The barons of Arnstein build this chapel at the beginning of the 13.th century for the mine workers. Today the St. - Gangolf church isn’t used ecclesiastically anymore but is used for various events all-season |
